Wooden wall mural
Javier became interested in one of my pieces exhibited at an art fair in Madrid. He was looking for a wooden wall mural because he wanted a distinct decorative feature that would bring freshness and a bold, daring touch to his space.
He found his inspiration in an artwork that offered magical tonal contrasts and gradients, brought to life by the natural relief of the wood and the impact of light.
Shortly after, he reached out to me to share his vision. He wanted to decorate the hallway wall of his architecture studio. An interior well-lit corridor located directly opposite the main meeting room. He knew it needed a grand format.
In the end, he chose a large statement piece measuring 180 x 110 cm.
This commission was an exciting challenge for me, as I hadn’t created a wooden wall mural of that scale up to that point.
I got straight to work and sent him regular updates on the progress. Once the piece was completed, I personally delivered it to his studio.
Spectacular and impressive.
Those were his words.
