Before, when I was asked what I did for a living, I used to say that I made pictures out of recycled wood.
Now I answer that I help people to improve their lives a little bit.
Because they went from being bored with the decoration of their homes, to enjoying the luxury of enjoying something that no one else has.
And because they are works that make them smile every time they look at them on their wall.
Years ago I worked in Human Resources. My job was so monotonous that I started looking for alternatives. I had always had artistic and literary inclinations and one day, by chance, I noticed the works of a Canadian artist. She reused wood to create them and I was definitely captivated.
It’s a kind of art that they don’t teach in any school. So I started researching while practising, learning, experimenting and making mistakes. That’s how I improved my technique.
Now I enjoy making them, I exhibit them at art fairs and they are in many homes in Europe and the United States.
I am Jose, I no longer work in Human Resources and I am also a blood donor.
