This wooden log wall decor was on display at a fair when a lady approached, showing interest in it. She examined it from every angle: top, bottom, right, left. She even looked at it from behind.

Finally, she confessed to me that in her spare time she made “similar things,” but they didn’t turn out as well. So, I deduced that she had come to the fair to improve her hobby. I don’t mean this in a derogatory sense; quite the opposite. I thought it was a good thing.

But it’s true that there is a technique, a knowledge of the tools and materials, a creative skill, passion, and attention to detail. Along with other ingredients. It’s not just a hobby.

For the creation of this rustic artwork, I cut small pieces and slices of tree branches of different sizes. Their color is natural, with no added dyes, and they are glued to a wooden base painted in an elegant wenge color.
