You will have heard it said many times. Especially when it’s one of those paintings with lots of stripes and stains in no apparent order.

There is nothing wrong with that.

Some people think that what I do can be done by anyone.

There’s nothing wrong with that either, but if that were the case:

 

— I would not receive custom orders, from Europe and the United States, from people who want to enjoy for a lifetime the exclusivity of a unique wooden work of art that no one else has.

— Nor would they be able to enjoy, together with their loved ones, the quality and detail of such distinguished and elegant works that elicit admiring comments.

— And they would certainly not receive such personal and close treatment either.

Due to the nature of the wood, each piece is unique and different. I cut and sand each slice one by one to obtain a softness similar to a baby’s skin, and to discover the incredible beauty of its rings. Their colour is natural, with no added dyes. The species I use are Mediterranean (pine, privet, elm, olive, orange…). Finally, I apply wax to protect and enhance its beauty.

It is dated and signed on the back and all the works have a certificate of authenticity.
